KT Heysus Makes 'Steel Magic' Laugh..."I want to appear on KS stage this year"

KT Wiz coach Lee Kang-chul smiles whenever he talks about new foreign pitcher Enmanuel de Heysus (29). He is highly satisfied with his outstanding skills, sincerity in baseball and even a clever brain.

Heysus, who moved from Kiwoom Heroes to KT this season last year, also has high expectations for the new team. Despite his personal performance last year, his team's performance remained at the bottom, and he is eager to throw the ball on the Korean Series stage this year.메이저놀이터

Heysus, who is from Venezuela, recorded 13 wins and 11 losses with an ERA of 3.68 last year. He defended well with an ERA in the mid-3-point range in the "Tago Tozer" league, and most of all, his "Inning Eating" ability, which he played 171 ⅓ in rotation, was impressive.

Kiwoom gave up renewing its contract with Heyesus as it reorganized its foreign player Jin Yong for the new season, but failed to make a hold on the contract, allowing it to transfer to another KBO league team. KT, which negotiated quickly, succeeded in recruiting Heyesus.

As much as the head coach's satisfaction with Heysus, Heysus has great satisfaction and expectations for the new team.

"I think KT is a really good team. The harmony between the players is good," he said. "I liked Kiwoom, which had a lot of young players, but it is impressive that there are certainly many experienced veterans."

Heyesus took his first mound in an exhibition game on the 10th. Coincidentally, the opposing team was "Friendly" Kiwoom, and he pitched a comfortable pitch with two runs in three innings.

"I talked a lot with catcher Kim Gun-hee, Song Sung-moon and Choi Joo-hwan before and after the game," Heysus said with a smile. "It was a different memory and a fun experience. Still, I worked hard focusing on the inevitable competition in the game."

He just joined the team, but Heyesus is already a great influence on young pitchers in the team. He is giving advice to Oh Won-seok (24), the same left-hander.

Coach Lee Kang-chul was also pleased, saying, "Heysus takes good care of his juniors."

Heysus said, "I advised that I can become a stable pitcher only when I can continue to pitch with similar form," adding, "Oh Won-seok is a great player who already has a lot, so I think he can become a quality starter in the KBO league if he develops this part."

The ABS zone, which has been slightly modified in the new season, is also adjusting smoothly.

"When I threw it in the trial game, I thought I needed to adapt again, but it is the player's role to do it," he said. "If you throw it a few times, you will be able to do well."

Although it is a foreigner's position to compete for survival every season, Heissus emphasized that team performance is more important than individual performance. In the end, it is a theory that individual performance is meaningless if team performance is not achieved.

"It's good if a better number appears than last year, but above all, it's most important for me to pour out 100% of every game," Heysus said. "If you do that, the record will follow and the team's performance will improve."
